India Dominates Jamaica 13-0 in Hockey5s Men's WC Pool B Finale
In the concluding Pool B match of the FIH Hockey5s Men’s World Cup Oman 2024, the Indian Men's Hockey Team delivered an exceptional performance, clinching a dominant 13-0 win against Jamaica in Muscat. The onslaught began early on, as Maninder Singh (2’, 2’) swiftly netted two goals with precision shots. The team's momentum persisted as Uttam Singh (5’) and Manjeet (5) added one goal each, propelling India to an impressive 4-0 lead in the opening six minutes of the match.
Even after building a significant advantage, the Indian team continued to exert relentless pressure on Jamaica's defense through consistent attacks. Pawan Rajbhar (9’) and Gurjot Singh (14’) seized these opportunities, further increasing India's goal count. As the halftime whistle blew, the team secured an impressive 6-0 lead.
The second half mirrored the first, as India focused on ball possession and maintained an aggressive offensive strategy. This approach proved effective as Mohammed Raheel (16’, 27’), Mandeep Mor (23’, 27’), Manjeet (24’), and Maninder Singh (28’, 29’) collectively scored numerous goals, securing India's dominant 13-0 win.
Significantly, the Indian team secured a win against Switzerland but faced a defeat against Egypt in their initial two Pool B matches on Sunday. Nevertheless, their triumph over Jamaica has ensured their spot in the Quarter-Finals of the FIH Hockey5s World Cup Oman 2024, set to take place on January 30.
